About Me

Debbie Johansson is the author of young adult fiction. She has written three novels - all of which are undergoing extensive editing. She is currently half way through completing a first draft of another novel, which she worked on for National Novel Writing Month during 2008. Debbie has also written short stories, articles and has been known to dabble in poetry whenever the mood strikes her.

Debbie has been published in Positive Words magazine, Pregnancy magazine, newsletters and on-line, where she even had a monthly column. She is a member of the NSW Writers' Centre, Central West Writers' Centre and the Society of Childrens Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI). In 2009, she was one of six successful applicants to work in a two day masterclass during the Write Around the Murray Festival in Albury.

As well as writing, Debbie enjoys other creative pursuits, which include photography and drawing. In 2007 she returned to University and is studying for a Bachelor of Communications, with a major in writing.

She lives in country NSW, Australia.
